I'd like to see a schematic of how my original 1967 Aisan single barrel carburetor linkage was originally engineered. The carb has been discontinued. I was thinking SOR would have the schematic, but don't. Mine was altered when I got it, and I'd like to de-farmarize it since the hokey spring setup flew off out in the woods yesterday. Luckily I found the spring bracket that flew off, and McGuyvered myself back home. I'll post a picture in a bit. Parts before 1968, are getting harder to find. I appreciate the help in advance.

Is this helpful? It's from the '67 parts manual.

Dave, maybe it's just me, but I thought he was asking for a pic of the linkage pivot area on the side of the engine block. THAT is a bit hard to figure out without a diagram, what with one link sitting INSIDE The other!

:hhmm:

Well, since this is what's in that '67 catalog, accompanying that carb, I didn't come to that conclusion, but in retrospect, I think you're right.

Maybe this earlier configuration then? I'm not sure what he meant by "defarmarize."

Thanks so much guys.....

I needed both of those diagrams.

Defarmarize is a word describing farmers working on cars.

Probably involves a buzz-box welder and a crescent wrench...:D

Mark, in the very near future I need to send my SD40 to you at your shop to rebuild. I'm getting quite a few dead spots especially when it's cold. I think it's my accelerator pump? I'd also like you to modify it with your knowledge.
