WTB: 1965 FJ40 throttle linkage and gas pedal set:

Mine is just too worn out and missing pieces.

most will have wear on them now
the "U" lever gets the most wear along with the rod from the pedal that goes into the lever
I ended up using a small brass bushing on the rod and opening the hole in the lever slightly to take up the slop

The whole setup is a Rube Goldberg IMO and, if you don’t want to switch to a throttle cable, you’re better off putting the time in to making yours work properly. I’ve been into mine on the’64 three times in the 31 years I’ve had it. Each time I study the wear patterns and, when I weld metal back in, I make changes to the parts that seem more appropriate to the arcs they need to travel in.

When Shane @AATLAS1X made his repop lever hesent me a sample. I held it up to my ‘improved’ lever and told him that I would not install it because imo it was a step backwards.

You really need to start with the firewall bracket that supports the pedal and go through the entire assembly. You get out of it what you put into it.😊

Curious to know what they’re worth these days. I have about a dozen sets myself.
