OK, I had to look this up since my buddy in college had an old Scout with the 266 V-8. The Scout 80's, like yours, weren't offered with the inline Sixes or V-8s (266 and 304), but the Scout 800 was. And, at least according to what I read, these Scouts have the same dimensions as yours. So, maybe a Jeep six would fit in there.

the engine compartment is different enough between the 80 and 800's
There are more variants than the frame crossmember and the radiator support. This thread outlines most of them.
Also, why would anyone want to use a international v8? Lol
I was only outlining the differences relevant to putting in a v8, that's what the discussion looked like.
That's what belongs in an International.
