$5K.
I just bought this and no zero about it, but I'll have it in my possession next Monday or Tuesday. Vehicle will be in Amarillo, Texas. My brother in law lives in Wellington, Texas, and he has a friend who was having to clean out his dad's house. He called me and asked me if I wanted it for $2000, and I bought it. That's about all I know. I really don't know much about these early rigs, nor am I handy, so I thought I'd just sell it to someone who is really into these. If you want it, let me know. You can call or text me at 806-672-7102.
Some pictures of it are here. I don't even know the mileage. It does run, but it needs a battery.

Two hours ago, I didn't even know what an FJ40 was. Now I own one. Bought it for almost nothing. I haven't looked at this in person, but my brother in law did and said it looks fine and runs. The interior needs some love'n.
So...I am going to spend this weekend reading up on the FJ40 - I won't have it for a week. But what is the consensus on these to get them fixed up? Is the goal to keep everything stock as it was as new, or are there a lot of popular modifications that everyone seems to like? I certainly don't want to bastardize a good vehicle, but I'd like to get this to a shop...
