1960? Toyota parade

a 25 with his brother and sister cars on parade 1959. actually its 1959 at the Star Festival in japan...the car behind the 25 is an early SUBARU P1 not a toyota but still nice and rare!

Great find! Where did you see it? I must have looked at thousands of Japanese and Asian clips and pictures from that time frame when looking for 25 pics!

i think its a s600...the car right behined the 25 is actually not a toyota its a subuaru p1. i only know this from a guy from japan...there was only 20 made that year

So I've been wondering....is there much of a vintage Toyota/Nissan/Subaru following/culture in Japan? Or do they recycle their own products like we crush Pintos? Do they still have vintage rigs in the Star Festivals today?

In "toyota city" i guess they would parade their new vehicle line up during the "star festival" ...may have ended that tradition when they got too many new models?

Since it is a 1959 image the second car is an Datsun S211. You were correct that about 20 were made. It was the first "Fairlady" roadster, though the following SP212 received the name badges. It is the earliest forerunner of the 1500/1600/2000 series of Datsun roadsters. See the following link for more details earlydatsun.com

Very cool, same paint as the one in your link, can't make out the last digit of the plate in the parade picture......................same car?
