Does such a junk yard exists in the area? I'm looking for 18 wheeler big rig junk yards...l A cursory search on the 'net didn't reveal anything obvious in the area.

Thanks.

There's a spring shop on 2nd just south of Osuna that seems to always have some smashed up tractors out front... and maybe a drive south on Broadway from Rio Bravo where all the wrecking yards are?

Broadway Truck Salvage (on Broadway).

The owner (Dave) is a totally stand up guy, and his #1 parts guy is AWESOME. He's got a lot more smaller commercial trucks (single axle units, daycabs, buses, etc...) but lots of heavy truck parts.

was that one called Brannex? or something like that? they got me a valve cover for my Ford for a good price and it was the only one in town at the time.

This place looks promising for big rig parts.

Thanks.

Are you looking for any parts in particular? A few times each year we run a Vehicle and Machinery Extrication Technician course and we utilize semi-trucks. If there was something you wanted in particular, I could snag it off a truck before it gets totally cut up. Best of all, free of charge.
