I posted this on my thread today....I just put a new set of 16x8.5 with 3.7" backspacing wheels on my truck, upgrading from some 15" ProComps. Maybe another option to consider if you can't find 17" rims you dig. These were $110 from Discount Tire, and just about the only option I could find in all black alloy. On my '87 FJ60 they are running perfect without any spacers

I'm running Goodyear Duratrac's in 285/75/R16 tires....another option is the new BFG KO2's. THey are making them in a bunch of sizes include: 285, 305, and 315 in R16

I'm running an old set of BF Rugged Trail T/A 265/75R16 (helps on the mpg) on some Eagle Alloys 100 Series Black Wheels. 16"x8", 3.625" BS, no spacers. As theron stated with 16" there are a lot more choices in tyres and they cost less the 17" tyres.

You Convinced me.... I am going 16 inch wheels. But i need shiny ones.... IMHO shiny look the best on the 85 blue cruiser.
