Anyone know where to get some 16 steel wheels that look/are like the OE split wheels? They look very similar to the NATO wolf wheels I had on my rover.

I'm stepping up to 16s for my rebuild...any ideas?

Yeah the split rims looks nice but too narrow.

I don't mind the narrow wheel if the split rims are available anywhere...
This is for a DD build out of a rust bucket...so I'll be running a skinny tire as well.

So....I know nothing about the split rims...are they tubeless? The SOR site says no tube or liner included...thought hat was kinda weird for a tubeless wheel?

No offense intended, but if you know nothing about them, make sure your learn up before you decide on a set (I don't know much myself). While I think they would be great on an expedition rig so you can fix multiple punctures over a trip, you/your tire guy has to be really careful when setting them up and making repairs, or kablamo!!!

I like the "look" of the old split wheels, but I would not want to own a set. I expect that the local tire shop may not even want to screw with old school wheels with a lock ring. Major pain in the ass to mount and dismout tires, plus as other person said..... there are certainly saftey concerns with these type wheels. Now they may be easy to break down in the "field" but you had better know what you are doing. You might become one with the "spoon". While I never had experiene with a 16inch split wheel I've had the distinct pleasure of breaking down 2.5 ton army truck tires with lock rings and all the tools we had were a sledge hammer and spoon, along with a pry bar. The fun part is keeping all your fingers, and then having fun when you air the tire up for the first time. HINT....don't place face over wheel as one airs up tire..... one might loose what face one has :).

Yeah...I am just trying to find the look of these wheels...not a split rim.
Like these NATO wheels from my old rover...

i was just doing the same search yesterday. in one of the posts, somebody mentioned that a call to CDan was all you needed to do. he can steer you in the right direction and get you the one's you want.

i too checked out the SOR selection of steelies but couldn't really figure out which ones would fit a stock FJ60.

What is it with rover guys and animal prints? There is a zebra and another vietnam-esque camo tiger stripe truck in my town.

C'mon, guys! There are so many posts regarding 16s!

OEM 16x6 These fit perfectly. Plus, they look stock.

If you want the "NATO" Wolf style, you can get the Tundra/Tacoma/Sequoia steel wheels. 16x7
Offset is not ideal but they fit.

I wrapped that after I flopped it on the passenger side and did some creative body work...plus owning a sign shop kinda makes perfect sense to wrap it in the ugliest thing I could design :D

Tacoma/sequia wheels look to be the right ones for me...thanks.

What vehicle and what year did these come stock? Looks like the way to go for a set of off road/ winter tires.

70 series.

I found those on toyota-parts.com

Item Number MSRP Core Price Price
426016026203 $139.10 $0.00 $105.37

WHEEL SUB-ASSY, DISC

Did they come on any US trucks or base 4-runners? I'd like to find some used in the states for less than $105.00 each. Otherwise, I'd just go aftermarket.

Oddly enough, it's listed in the US but it never was standard issue on any USDM truck. Canadians seem to get them cheaper. Torrance, CA warehouse has them.

BB, do you have a picture of them on your 80?
