The BFG book says 8.5 inch minimum, but I see a lot of rigs running the 15x8's. If I run the 15x8's with a 4 inch lift any rub with the 3.75 inch backspace?

you can run a 15x8, will hold the bead a little better than a 10" wide wheel

i got a 15x10 just so i have room to go to a 37/13.5 later on if i decide to.

Depends on the look you are after. You are probably going to need wheeel spacers to clear the tie rod ends with either. And if you have stock steering the drivers front is very likely to hit the drag link on a full right turn.

The backspace actually needs to be 3.5 not 3.75 from the FAQ?

and thus my statement about needing wheel spacers

incidently, when I converted to FDB using 79 minitruck parts, the minitruck steering arms had a different bend than the LC's and I no longer needed the wheel spacers for rims with 3.75" backspacing
