Interior is ok.
No rips In Leather. Wood grain is faded.
Just needs a good cleaning

Interior “wood grain” is all fake stickers, heat them up with a hair dryer and peel that sh*t off.

Then slap on some ARB bumpers and post it on Craigslist for $12k. Put “overland” somewhere in the title and wait...

Just kidding, that’s probably the best $1500 you’re gonna spend on any vehicle.

You scored a locked 100 series LC with a busted window and a few minor issues for $1,500. That’s ridiculous!!! Who really cares what the maintenance records say have been done with it. Like was said earlier, baseline it, and do the basic maintenance items like they haven’t been done since it was built. Drop a couple grand on fun things like tires or stuff that makes it look cool. Then, go out and drive/wheel the piss out of that bad boy!!!

Hella find! Possible AC clutch issue? No need to remove compressor. Test by removing power plug. Take a 12v battery and connect cable to +- of compressor. If it kicks on it’s good. Possible short or lose cable down stream.

Or pay dealer $100 to give you a diagnostic. ;)
When you say power plug.. what is that? Is that just the connect to the compressor?
So you are saying unplug it and run and negative and power wire to a batter and to
The compressor.
Just want to make sure I am understanding right.

Thanks

I was planning on just removing all
The trim and painting black.
Going to crank torsion on from and add some coil spacers on rear.

Going to get front and rear bumpers. Either fab something or see if I can retrofit something else to fit. (Any ideas??)

I know I could not seriously believe he made the deal!!

I had to jump on it.

For what it's worth, I'm currently parting out a '98 100, so let me know what all parts you need. I'm in MS, so I'm not too terribly far away for shipping purposes (in fact depending where in GA you are, it's a straight shot on I-20 for possible 'mudship opportunities)
Sounds good to me!
I have family in Alabama by the coast. But on I-20 it is a straight shot.

Thanks and I’ll keep you posted.

I know! I am freaking out right now.

That is the plan!! Total budget!
Only thing I am Concerned with is the 13 flashing check engine light.
But if it the knock sensor or a broken wire I am total cool.
Any experience with this?

Random but that passenger headlight has been replaced. 98s came with glass headlights and don't fog up. Notice how nice the driver one looks? Any other signs of accident damage?
Yes I notice now.
I’ll check it out. Might just need a good cleaning...
No front end damage I know of.

Done and done!

Nice job! A twin to my LC.

Definitely suggest not removing the trim. If you want to paint it, do it on the truck. Typically the removal of the trim results in the trim breaking.

Good note.
Then I’ll just buffet it out.
Thanks for the tip.

Correct. Power cables from compressor connect to a plug. Unplug it, check which wire connector is +-, run cables from car battery to plug and test. You should hear a click when clutch engages. And also see the clutch move in towards pulley. If that passes then no problems with compressor. Issue is somewhere else.

Maybe spin pulley just to make sure you don’t hear grinding. If you do, you need a new pulley bearing. Just FYI as I’ll be replacing mine.

There’s a nice you tube video on this process.

Sounds good.

Most likely it’s the Freon tubing going towards the rear condenser that has a leak. I had to plug mine up and that fixed it.
