14 LC Daytime running lights

Hello,just wondering if our daytime running lights are supposed to be like this?(they look like an old 3 D cell mag light flashlight that has low batteries!)Just wanted to post up and ask,I really don’t care for them much.What do you guys think?

Yes, that's normal. And yes, I agree they suck.

I just turn OFF the DRL's and turn ON my parking lights and use them as DRL's. The parking lights illuminate the LED strip below the headlights and work just fine as DRL's.

I thought I had a picture of just the LED strip, but I don't - so just imagine this pic without the Low Beam HID lights and fogs:

I replaced with LED. Very happy with the look and output.

I replaced with the IPF LED's. They are great for use as High Beams, but do not work as DRL's (as expected).
