Hi gents, anyone have part number for idle pulley for 13bt, as mine sweak's and sounds shot on start up, swirt a bit of oil on it and squeak dissapears.
I seen somewhere others are just replacing the bearing with a new NSK bearing that suits , if anyone has that number that would be helpful as well.
Last question are both idle pulleys the same size, as they run on different belts, PS & AC indicating they may different, but assume the bearing may be same ??
Cheers :meh:

For the power steering idler pulley I used the bearing out of an 80 Series 1FZ A/C idler pulley part number 88440-26090. It was cheaper for me to buy that pulley and rob the bearing out of it than to buy a Chineese aftermarket replacement bearing...

Thanks for the feedback guys,
I pulled both pulleys out today just have look and the ac pulley is different to the ps pulley, has anyone removed the ac pulley bearing?
I was able to remove Ps pulley bearing and reinstalled, but was baffled to how remove the ac bearing , any thoughts anyone?.

I have not looked closely at mine and I do not have an 88440-12160-83 (that's the A/C pulley part number over here) in stock to look at right now. I can tell you that the A/C pulley assy is not very expensiove, at least over here. The published list price is $23.99 USD. I' order one in and look at it.

Are you showing them available?

They show up "DISCONTINUED" for me.

:(

You are correct. The class code was "C" and I did not think it would be a gonner. That's a shame. It also fits FJ62 and FJ80. This is recent, I sold one in November. Stuff is drying up..:ban:

My local "bearings and drives" company had plenty in stock. I replaced mine about 3 months ago.

For the A/C?

I thought it was your power steering idler.

Thanks guys for that part number 88440-12160, ( no 83) for us, ....local yota dealer can see 5 units in dealers through out Brisbane / Sydney, $45, that will do, happy with that, it was even dearer via amayama. But if anyone does know if you can remove bearing from ac pulley, would be worthwhile sharing if the stocks are getting exhausted, cheers:steer:

All done, got new ac pulley from dealer and new bearing for ps pulley, installed and working fine, just one question?
When replacing ps pulley I wanted to see if there was much resistance on the ps pump with out the belt, to my surprise I was able turn and spin, I thought being a pump there would be noticeable resistance, but it seemed quite free , is this normal or should be some resistance ??

I pulled both idler pulleys today. The a/c pulley's bearing is held in by four tangs of metal that look like they were chiseled or punched from the pulley. They are 90 degrees apart from each other.
Seems like it would be good to find a way to swap bearings in and out. Maybe swap the pulley for one that is more amenable.

Here's a some pics of the strange bearing retention system on that pulley. I think it's p/s pulley though.

The resistance would be more when you try and turn the wheels. Its probably just free wheeling until you turn the wheels and open up a valve as with all things hydraulic
