I am after a fan blade suitable for a 13BT.

Auto stores cant get me one and toyota want $287 to ship one from Japan

Any suggestions?

Tried roodogs? They will do orders even if it is not listed on their site. Or try JAPAN4X4,mud vendor.
Will a 3B fan work?

I tried roodogs and they cant get me one either. He said a fan from a 60series diesel (not sure what engine) could also work?

I cant see why a 3B fan wouldnt work, does anybody know any BJ71/3/4's being wrecked in perth?

Lots of 3B dynas and coasters at Soltoggios bros in Jandakot;)

TOYOTA TRUCK PARTS WA
Just make sure you take your old one for a comparison,as I dont know if they are the same. Also check the one you buy turns the same way.
Im pretty sure Midland 4wd have new 2H fans for about $50.

Apparently the dynas and coasters have a different radiator/ radiator fan shroud setup than the landcruisers

Don Kyatt cant get one in either, he said the last time somone asked for one was back in 2000 and he cant really remember what the solution was but it was from another vehicle.

I spoke to perth 4wd centre and they didnt have the fan blade from the BJ71 but he suggested taking it off and visiting a local wrecker to see if a HZ fan blade would match up or similar. I will take it off tonight and see what the outcome is tomorrow:hhmm:

I think the fan sits in a different spot,up higher,or off to one side. But is actually different?

try master autoparts in wangara near phonex holden
he is allways getting sea containers from japn full of cruiser parts

Just from a rough eyeball the fan doenst look that much different to a 3F fan. What is the best way to get the fan and clutch out? I need to take mine out soon and I can check it against a 3F fan I got here.

Was thinking I could unbolt the shroud, push it towards the motor and draw the fan out from between the rad and shroud.

The rad hoses need to come off ?

Hi guys i finally got it sorted, turns out it is the same fan blade as a 22R hilux engine.

Hulsty after taking the shroud off and on about 4 times yesterday best advice i can give you is unbolt everything to get it out, obviously unbolt all the shroud, the little plastic clip holding the heater hose on the bottom passenger side, unbolt the bash plate underneath and you also have to unbolt the fan blade.
You need to push the shroud thick end downwards and pull the skinny end upwards its a tight squeeze but it will come out without taking the heater hose off.

And yeah easiest way of getting the fan blade off is the way you described with the shroud pushed towards the motor.

Thats some good info

This is how I do mine;)

Got the fan and shroud off in no time, engine bay is MASSIVE without them. Did you need any info off the fan?

Off topic BUT my fan clutch is stuffed, appears to be a non genuin and has leaked out the front where the curly spring is, has virtually no resistance.

I have a 1991 Landcruiser 80 series 3FE ASIN fan clutch, its is a staight bolt up fit!! It has some internal resistance but did not engadge properly on my FJ73, i'm hoping a oil top up will bring it back to life.

Compared to a 3F fan blade the BJ74 fan is about 2'' smaller in diameter.
