As it is the face where the cap seals that is the problem, I have made a jig to hold the casting in the lathe , machine off the neck and weld a new alluminum neck back on, will put a photo up when job is done.

Is there another option,like changing the radiator and using another b engine housing? Expensive I know.

If you fitted a 3B water outlet houseing you still need to some how to run a water cooling line to the Turbo, could T into the bottom and top radiator hoses. Also the outlet pipe ( 3B )may not go in the corect direction.

The 15BT has the coolant hoses for the turbo but no radiator cap and points to the right.

But that might be as to obtain hard as getting the proper one

Is it a comon problem that these castings need to be replaced, do they crack or just carrode ?

Being alloy and 25 years old ,I would say corrosion would be doing its part.Alloy normally needs a good thump to crack it.
