I am selling a 12HT/H55 combo that I picked up on my last trip in Europe. The po says in the early 2000’s he bought a local wrecked HJ61 where he took this out of because at that time they had a HJ61 as a daily driver and wanted one for spare parts. Later they also build a bad ass jeep willys buggy powered by a 12HT/h55 sitting on a Patrol frame and over the years they have used a few parts of this engine like the starter motor, alternator and oil pan. I have installed a fresh oil pan and bought a starter motor for it, I did not bother spending good money on a oem 24v alternator as 99% of the people looking for a 12HT are gonna use it in a 12v cruiser.
It had around 240 k km (150 k miles) on it when it got wrecked , it starts right up and sounds good and no abnormal smoke.
I know lately a lot of 12HT’s have been popping up in Europe but unfortunately they come from up North and usually have around 500 k km on it and a bunch of hours since a lot of these keep on running in winter times, I am not bringing those so this might be the last 12HT for sale by me for a long time as it gets harder and harder to find a decent one at a decent price.
I normally sell these for 6500$ but since there are a few little nick nacks missing and I am going back to Europe in 2 weeks I decided to drop the price on this one temporary to 5500$ , if it doesn’t sell before I leave I will sell it later for 6500$ or use it myself
