If you have a factory hitch, that makes a great bumper protector. If not, it's about 5-10 minutes to remove the factory rear bumber if you want to do that at camp I'm sure there will be plenty of people with beer in hand willing to give advice. Or just drive it and see what happens.

I will have plenty of Fat Tire and Ranger IPA to give to anyone willing to help, that is if I don't have a shiny new Slee. I may still be persuaded to give up a beer or two.

COME GET A SLEE BUMPERRRR! Or have christo bring one out for you and install in camp...after handing beers out to remove the Tupperware

Great Idea Loud! I might commit to it just for the "free" shipping and install, but beers don't start until the new bumpers do. I can see myself being left hanging by you untrustworthy hundy folk. ;)

Just to keep it from being chatty: Cabins C7 and C8 are still available and it looks like the campground is about half full. Come on Hundys.

:bounce:!!!!REGISTERED!!!!:bounce:

Here were my choices (partially because I trust Far's advice)

Wed/Thu. San Rafael Overnight
Fri. Porcupine Rim (The Group 100 trail. Only 8 spots left!) (with Alternatives of Hell's revenge and whipeout hill)
Sat. Poison Spider Mesa (with alternatives of Kane Creek and Hell's Revenge)

I would really like to do a night run of Fin's or Hell's too. I did it a couple years ago in my J:censor:P and it was a blast.

Hope to see you all there.

P.S I too will keep my mouth shut...for a while...in the other Series' forums to give fellow 100 owners a chance.

Trying to register right now... are all the overnighter's already booked???? When I click on the pull down it only gives me the option of "no trail run"......

Well, I tried everything to register for the Swell overnight trip with no luck.... Bummer.

So, I put down for:

Thursday 1st: Rating: 4 Fins & Things - 4 Spots Left
Thursday 2nd: Rating: 4 Elephant Hill - 18 Spots Left

Friday 1st: Rating: 5 Porcupine Rim - 6 Spots Left
Friday 2nd: Rating: 4 Sevenmile Rim - 11 Spots Left

Saturday 1st: Rating: 5 Poison Spider Mesa - 12 Spots Left
Saturday 2nd: Rating: 5 Wipe Out Hill - 2 Spots Left

I dont have front/rear lockers so I hope I dont have any issues on the trails I chose. I do have sliders, front ARB , winch, lift and 295's....

This will be my first trip to Moab and probably last one for many years. I have decided to switch careers and have started down the path to be come a doctor.....6 years of school the first time wasnt enough I guess... LOL! Anyway, I have dreamed of this event for a long time and am really looking forward to being there and meeting those of you that make it. If any of you are coming from the San Francisco area, we should organize a caravan there....

Cheers!

You will be fine on the chosen trails. We are similarly equipt. It's gonna be a blast. See you in Moab.

Make sure your ability is checked accordingly but don't overestimate.

Fri. Porcupine: 4 spots left
Sat. Poison Spider 10 Spots Left.

Freeloader:flipoff2:. Eh....look forward to meeting up....I'll have to make a trip down to BFE one night for some wheeling around the park.

Just Checked again @ 10:50pm. It states that San Rafael has 6 spots left!?! Kokopelli is full with 10 wait-list spots open. Make sure your ability is checked accordingly but don't overestimate.

Interesting.... I just sent Far a pm to see if I just screwed something up and who I should contact. I would love to make the overnight...

Edit: I wonder if it wouldnt let me register for it because I have no rear locker??? I noticed the Swell is a 6 rated trail on their site and the y say rear lockers are required for 6 trails.....

The system will not allow you to register for trails where you do not have the correct equipment. Don't try to fool it since it will be picked up when you do tech inspection. The system is designed to make it fair for everyone and be conservative in equipment needed. Since we can not judge individual wheeling experience or capability we have to go with the highest equipment spec we see fit. The good thing is that we actually use past experience and local knowledge to rate the trails and not just get them from a book. The trail rating is reviewed and updated for every CM.

Once can certainly argue that "Hey I have done that in a open diff FJ40 etc etc" however it does not make for a fun day when you are leading 20 trucks and have some under equipped vehicles on the trail.

Thanks for understanding.

Christo, in a 100 how much does ATRAC count for? I have only been on level 6 trails since the rear locker went in. A 6 has some serious ledges and was glad I had the locker, but wonder where ATRAC fits into the trail rating system, its better than open diff, but how much?

I am not sure we have actually discussed this on a committee level to see how we treat that. It certainly works, but I think we are not taking that as a complete replacement for a locker.

OK, so this is what I am bringing to Moab. Feels pretty good in the limited driving I have done with it. Hundy people will probably not be as excited as 80 people about this.
