I posted this to the 80 forum but there might be more of you that upgraded and don't read the 80 borad anymore.

The kids are getting bigger and so am I.
I have the seat all the way back for driving and the kids want me to slide it up a tad.

Which has the most leg room?
Is there more front or rear leg room between the 80 and 100?

100 also has 3rd row...dont forget about that, you could ship them to the back if they bother you about your seat, hehe.

As far as 100 v 80, ive never sat in an 80...sorry im not too helpful.

This is for the 80'S

Rear legroom seems like drastically more in the 100 than in the 80. The rear seats are very comfortable in our 100. The 80 rear set up feels a little cramped.

generally the same size truck. if you want "roomier" for big fat asses, you gotta buy from companies that cater to big fat asses. fomoco, mopar, chebby.

Despite what the specs say, my feeling is (having driven a 80 only once and sat in one on another occasion) the 100 has way more front legroom, as I'm 6'1" w/ long legs. I think it has to do w/ the power seats going further back on the 100 but not on the 80 (can anyone confirm this?). If you had manual seats on the 80 (like recaros), you could probably realize the full front legroom.

As a previous 80 owner, I concur the 100 has more rear legroom than an 80 by a small margin. I believe the rear seats can also recline further than the 80 series seats without any modifications.

yeah, the can recline just a little in the 2nd row....now, it might not be as nice as putting a bed in the cargo/folded 2nd row area but it works when your left with no other options on those late nights out with uhm, ill stop here.

IMOP there is a HUGE real difference in leg room in the front and rear of a 100 over an 80, 100 is also much wider inside......after the 100 I hate getting in a 80....I just feel cramped.

speaking of which. are they supposed to pork up the new 200, or is it gonna stay offroadable (for when the hit the used market 5 years from now.)

im having visions of a toyota escalade dancing through my head.

i think the hiproom is the same, but the greenhouse tapers in much more on the 80. the glass is closer to your shoulders and melon.

Agree. The specs seem bogus....or manupulated. My old cloth 80 had much more front legroom than the learther. In my leather LX I had to buy Landtank's entenders. The 100 has more front room stock and less front leg room with those LX450 extenders.

Same in the back. The 100 has more....no question.

I agree. The 80 and the 100 series are completely incomparable in terms of leg room. I don't know where these measurements are coming from, but I say they're bogus.

It's a bit difficult to compare as the rear legroom is dependent on how far forward/back the front seat is adjusted. Oh, and the LC might have a smidgen more legroom than the LX as the front seat backs have a "net" rather than a "pocket."

True...though with both front seatbacks to the far rear the 100 has more 2nd row legroom for certain. Much more comfortable. I THINK the seat bottoms are also a tad higher for better support......dunno....have to go double check. :D

FWIW, I think the way your body is set up matter more than "leg room" I am 6" with very long legs and a short torso. I just fit. If it were an inch less it wouldn't work for me. This is with the seat all the way back and down. I have a friend who is 6.4" with very short legs and he was very uncomfortable. (dummy bought a Nissan instead. In his defence, their was alot more leg room. However, he can't do much off-road at all. So I think you should see if you can take them both for a ride and see how you feel. For him it wasn't even a question. For me, I wanted the reliability of Toyota, which in this case comes from the manufacturer and the PO. Best of LUCK. I hope what finds you suits your tastes.

I have both and the 100 has more leg room in both the front and rear. They both have a 3rd row for small people but the 100 has full sholder belts for all 3 in the second row and the 80 only has 2.

For me, my 2001 100 series has 2 rear sholder belts, and a hip one for the middle 3rd row seat. Intresting. Is yours baised on Lexus Specs?

Overall, I have compared both the 100 and the 80. The 80 is smaller than the 100.
