Yes, I need some help please my 100 Lc security is having issues I go to leave for work and and my key didn't unlock the truck It didn't do anything do I unlock it with the key manually and the alarm gos off so I start it and it starts first I thought it was the key so I took it to Toyota and they said the key worked fine it was something in the truck. Have anyone else have
or has had this problem?

punctuation the problem is a complete lack of punctuation it sounds like your key opened the truck and started the engine were you able to drive the truck to Toyota or did you just take the key to Toyota was the alarm still going off while you were driving if not it sounds like the key works fine so what exactly is the problem you were trying to describe in the original post? maybe the remote transmitter just needs a new battery

Thanks for replying...once you turn the truck on with the key the alarm turns off and you can drive the truck.the problem is that the key will not disable the alarm, Toyota said the keys remote fab is functioning right, so it's not the key fab. If I lock the door manually with my finger and shut the door and open it with the key( in the door lock) the alarm will trigger,I had to go into the trucks harness and pull the wire for the drivers door out of the door harness, so the alarm computer would not know the door was there. I don't know if it's the alarm receiver or the alarm computer... If I hit panic on the remote fab the alarm will go off, but otherwise lock and unlock will not work on the key fab. I tried a new key and no luck

Nvm, posted at the same time. Could the alarm module have peckered out?

I'm not sure if thats the problem.i think there is alarm receiver and a alarm computer is that what u mean by module?

are you pushing the door lock button or flipping the lock manually? Lock it with the door lock button and you won't have that problem. My lock button on my key doesn't work so I must lock with the button, unlock with key.

If I lock with the lock button and open the door with key the alarm will go off. it will go off with any of the doors

Tried it.. I've tried everything other than tearing the dash apart or taking the whole truck to Toyota for them to work on it for a day and tell me they think they know what's wrong but it will cost $$$$

Try unlocking the truck from the key slot in the back hatch and see if that doesn't set off the alarm.

did you try the passenger door or am i missing something. the transponder part of the key has no battery. the battery is only for the remote operation as the valet key has no battery but still has a transponder in it. what is wrong with the lock in the back hatch? maybe there is a short or something back there.
