I'm headed West to CO and and putting my dirt bike on a hitch mounted Versahauler carrier. Bike and hauler combined weight is about 350lbs. Putting my BIOR bumper and Ironman Lift to the test.

The ironman springs compressed a little more than an inch, and which puts the back end about even or slightly lower than the front. With the added weight in the back the steering is now a little lighter in front.

For you guys who have towed with a fair amount of trailer tongue weight on a lifted truck, did you consider adjusting the torsion bars to lower the front end for a little better steering. Will it help?

Thanks Bama- considered it, but I'm literally modded out, don't have the bandwidth to take on another project right before my trip.

I'm literally using this set up to & from CO- it's not a permanent solution.

Yes it will help and yes you can do it. Ideally you would want the truck to sit level when the rear is loaded. That'll give you some rake when unloaded but should drive well.

That said, if you are sitting level or just slightly a$$-heavy, I'm not sure it is worth the hassle to adjust the t-bars unless you find the steering really uncomfortable.

I have 864 rear springs and tow a trailer with a 400+# tongue weight, so my truck is pretty stink bug when unloaded and slightly a$$-heavy when pulling the trailer.
