Until Next Year

I would like to see the southeast 100's get out and have a couple trail days together. I was thinking setting some rough dates and fine tuning them later as we go on to help get as many members as possible to be able to make it. I have never been to Uhwarrie but I have heard it's one of the best places in the S.E. I'm interested in having it held there mainly because people from the northern area may travel down rather than it be held in GA which really limited most people as GA is the furthest southern state with decent wheeling.

Dates- April 29 - May 1st , 2011

Again, these are rough dates, I would like to wheel before it gets so hot you can't stand outside for 30 minutes and camping becomes a gnat invested sweat-o-thon.

Looking forward to getting this on the way.

So far it looks like I am in, along with another 100 Series member "Yukon LX".

Nick

Coming: 5 100's and some offspring Toyotas So far. Anybody else?

I will be down there with a group April 28th-May1st... This will be the 4th year in a row we've been in April... It's been different every year but always fun... We have a variety of vehicles coming and we also know the trails pretty well at this point... I will be towing my FJ40 behind my 100 and wheelin both of them... I'd love to see some other 100's or any other cruisers for that matter... We have already planned our dates so I'll definitely be there last weekend in April...

The weekend of the second and the 9th would work well for me too. (probably better actually)

As of right now , looks good to me. I have been wanting to get up there !

any love for the first two weekends in the month?

Looking forward to getting back in touch with nature and riding some trails for a few days! I'll be working on my "todo's" up until we leave... Looking like a nice weekend of weather for once! It has been a cold winter for VA and I'm looking forward to some weather that will allow me to work on the rigs more!

Also - anyone considering going to the GSMTR? It's only a few weeks behind these dates and it's over 10 hours away for me but i've herd it's a great event.

I may. Be going to GSMTR. I've never been but lots of guys that go say it's the best event on the south coast. Let me know if you are going, I'll make a appearance and wheel if I see a few 100's up there.

URE Maps

For those that haven't been to Uwharrie I thought i'd post a few maps of the trails:

Here is one map - others to follow:

How does the long Easter weekend sound to you guys? April 21-25. I need a couple extra days if I'm to make the 15 hour run.

Cancel that. Stay tuned for ***Final*** dates. Trying to figure out if we can piggy back with ONSC and branch off for the 100 run.

I could probably add another day to my time out of the office putting me down at URE Wed April 27th through Sunday April 1st. Since I already have a group going during these dates Easter weekend will not be an option for me. I've never seen another 100 down there so it'd be cool to meet up with some of you guys... In years past we've had some pretty cool rigs out there... We've had everything from a Military Deuce and a Half with a couch in the back to 3 and 4 wheelers for people to play around on...

Also - for people that are going keep in mind you can camp anywhere in the National forest. Some of the best camp sites are right off the trails. You can also ride trails any time of the night... I always love a midnight run with a convoy of vehicles all lit up... So... basically you do not have to pay for a camp site unless you want to stay in a more "family oriented" environment. We usually pay for one camp site so everyone can use the shower and restroom facilities if needed...

Weekend of 29-1 May is best...I say we leave it as is.

If we want to get the Badin Lake Group Campground we need to researve it now. Maybe Site A or Site C.....both are good...I like C best personally but any are good.

$50 gets you an entire group camp site...use of hot water showers and full flushing toilet bathrooms they just finished before end of this past season. They are nice and well worth it with group with good parking....good privacy...big fire pits, grills, seating, hand pump water well...plus the showers and bathrooms on site.

Camp site would be wonderful. I'm good to go finally so I'm 100% in finally.

I will be getting there Friday noon-ish time. It's not to far. 4 weeks away and I need to start get my stuff together. any body have a tent recommendation for people? it's my father so I'm not worried about sleeping in the same tent, if it was a college buddy we would be in different compartments lol
