Listen to the newbie whine!

Dude, it's not about people getting their panties in a bunch, it's about making sure "Tech" stays "Tech" and not "Wrong Tech." Stop for a moment and think about why Mr. Shotts has his very own smiley icon (the previously shown "beating a dead horse" icon). There is a very good reason why, and it's a distinction held by no other forum members...

Wait a bit until you've been on here for more than, what, 106 posts so that you can get the context of this back room conversation...

And John, whatever I might post, I actually do appreciate your contributions. But for the love of God, get over yourself!

I have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously, no kidding around. I have no idea what you're talking about.

However, now that I have a dilemma w/ my CV joints, if it's chat room bickering, I'd rather not know what you're talking about.

So ideas on my CV leak.

I just ordered 2 CV kits from Toyota $75 total and I'll be installing those this weekend.

I'll tell you what, this rig has had more problems than I expected: leaks and more leaks etc. I'm glad I shopped around for this one and got what seemed like a new LC because the previous owners took such nice care of her. Some of those other LCs we test drove sucked ars, I can only imagine what they'd be like now!

I unsubscribed from this thread, but the lunacy keeps drawing me back...

If you had searched, there are some threads on solving the leaky CVs with hose clamps.

Woulda saved you $72 minus the cost of clamps...

I'd rather just replace the entire kit. The boots look old and spongy. Better safe than sorry.

Does anyone have any actual experience with these clamps in use instead of the factory clamps that comes with the kit?

Should I use these instead of the factory clamps? I need to know now before I take things apart and put them back together.

My fear is for throwing of the balance of the clamp and causing damage to the boot as it spins at high speeds. I also worry about hitting it on something I'm driving over and tearing the boot off. Any experience with this type of clamp?

Girls! Girls! Why not just start your own post called "My panties are all in a bunch" and by the way, I thought this post was dead. It's funny what goes on in dead threads. Kinda like the basement of an abandoned building, where all the high school kids get together to smoke pot and drink beer. Ah, the good old days...

mmmmmmmm peas in a pod maybe .......:flipoff2:

First I need to correct you: "Get over the 100-series" (not "yourself")

And I will not get over the 100-series until I find a better Land Cruiser.

giving tht response the old chubby checker treatment again i see....

??? You like the salty taste of who's pea & pods? WOw! This post is really out there now.
:flipoff2::flipoff2: back at-cha.

Still have no idea what the hell you guys are talking about.

Any answers to the CV boot clamp questions? (they weren't answered in any of the other CV boot leak threads, I've checked).

Gumby jas deleted it, for no tech content, when it should of moved to chit chat I would of thought, if tht were the case......

What the hell did you just say? What language is that? Are you offering advice or just hanging out causing trouble?

Focus people, Focus.

Remember the title of the thread, its not "some cheese with your whine?"

Oh yeah, 100% stock and plan on keeping it that way.

You don't have a body wrap... :D

Thank you so much for blessing me with your presence at my thread. I don't know what I'd do without your wisdom and experience. You've helped me grow as a LC owner and I know that when I did my suspension build I relied heavily on your advice!

Oh wait. You didn't show up till just this last page and you haven't added anything useful at all. Why are you here again? I'm trying to create a build post that answers useful questions for others trying to do the same thing. You seem to be stirring sheet.

Seems you're getting kind of worked up. Sorry if I upset your fragile sensitivities :princess: but if you can't take it, don't dish it out.

And one more thing...You didn't show up till just this last page and you haven't added anything useful at all. Why are you here again?
And who uses the word "rubbish"? Who are you King Arthur?

OK, enough of this...
The tech content is becoming rare, the personal stuff too much and this thread has clearly run its course...

I'm closing it.

Dwon, if you want to ask about your boots, start a new clean thread please and let's keep it tech this time...
