Found The Leak!!!
I found the leak, and I bet this is what's causing others leaks too.
The top center tail light is leaking in water which is collecting in the top door frame and eventually flowing out one of the holes the plastic molding snaps through. Then the water travels down inside the plastic and dumps out at the corners of the top door onto the carpet at the corners. That's why the inside of the side plastic moldings by the carpet is dry but the carpet next to it and under it is soaked.
I tried to figure out how to take off the lamp to repair it, but it looks like it's sealed tight like a windshield so I'm not fooking with it. I'll have Toyota seal it when they deliver the new carpet for the rear floor and back hatch (covered by insurance).
If you want to find out more about your water leakage, take off the plastic molding around the top of the back hatch window. It pulls inward at the sides and down (when the hatch is lifted) in the center. Be careful and patient, and look inside there when you're pulling it off so you don't break anything. Then with the door shut have a helper pour a garden hose around the door seal while you're inside. Then have them spray the hose just on the tail light. You'll see little drips of water start forming around the areas where the front and back pieces of metal come together by the window (you'll see what I mean when you're in there. Within about 1 minute water will start dropping from the seam.
I hope this helps some of you with your leaks. It looks like the LC has a real problem with water and the rear hatch.
I've become real intimate with my LC over the past few weeks. I can say that these cars are freakin' built like a tank, but the back hatch is not designed to be opened when wet or water will pour in. The only thing keeping water out of your LC in even a mild rain is the gasket or rubber seal around the opening of the back. There's no ridge to divert water away from that rubber, that's all there is between a dry cab and a stinky moldy cab. And worst of all, all the water from the entire roof is diverted back to the rear of your LC to be diverted by those rubber gaskets around the opening and down the back. Bad engineering if you ask me. They could have put in troughs to divert the water away from the opening and the rubber could be a last resort, not an only resort. So this is the first manufacturers defect I can see from a purely every day driver vehicle stand point. Even if you use your LC to take kids to soccer and go to the store, you should be vary cautious about rain and the back.
So there you go. Problem solved.
