That bumper is sweet...Your truck is awesome.

Thanks. She is turning into one mean-looking mall cruiser!

Why choose a custom rear versus what is out there already?' Just curious because I know you gave it a lot of thought

For the longest time planned on going with the BIOR bolt on, but after seeing a few in CO, moved away from it. It's good looking and I'm sure high quality, but just couldn't make myself like it, if that makes sense.

The Slee was always an option, but after seeing a few in CO, I really didn't like how deep they were. They stand off from the rear of the truck a pretty good distance. That being said, there is no doubt they are the highest quality option out there. The swing out hardware, pivots, etc, are awesome. I almost ordered one on several different occasions, but the $2600 price tag always got in the way.

The custom bumper kind of happened by accident. Mike posted pics of the one he had built, and I PM'd Chris asking if he could make one with a swingout that centers the spare (which I always liked best). Kind of snowballed from there. Took 3 months and 4 trips to Hot Springs, but in the end I think it turned out pretty solid. It hugs the frame and rear of the truck really tight which gives a good departure angle, and it is crazy strong. The swingout operates smooth, and the hymes make it easy to take on/off. AND I came in way less than the Slee $wise...that helped too...

I'm gonna post up some decent pics later.

Also, AHC s*** the bed again over the last few days. Gone from semi-smooth (normal) to a tractor-like ride. It's done this once before since I've had it, and an AHC fluid change fixed it up. That was 3 years ago last month so I'm sure it's due again. Ordering a couple gallons of the fluid from Toyota Dealership tomorrow.

If this doesn't work, might be time for 49 Tire's first AHC to Traditional suspension conversion...

Save your $1000 Toyota going to charge for that flush and just do the swap.

Ha. I did the flush last time, gonna do it again this time!

I actually did a writeup on it. Takes about 90 mins to do right, there's really nothing to it.

School me.

Why is it messed up again if you have already flushed it once?

You've got me. Honestly I can't even comprehend how changing the fluid works AT ALL...

The best I can figure is that the system is malfunctioning, and isn't 100% closed. Maybe water or air is getting in over time and compromising it? Who knows.

It'll only cost me $75 in fluid and about an hour of my time to try it. Either way I'm ripping it out this year. Would just rather not do it right after Christmas/taxes/rear bumper expenses if I can help it...

Your bumper turned out great. Purely out of curiosity, why the decision to use the heims at the pivot rather than a traditional spindle? I'm guessing they provide a stronger joint for the full width swing arm???

It's what Chris preferred to use, and strength was his reasoning. Didn't really matter to me either way.

I just ordered a set of these LED headlights for my 100 Looks like a no-brainer for $240 I'll let you know but the Group Buy ends 1/15

Been looking hard at those myself. I didn't like my HIDs, felt cheap even tho they weren't. Hopefully these will be solid. Probably going to wait and see what u think. Will wind up paying a little more but oh well.

Supposedly plug and play...we shall see.

I also ordered a 17" light bar for my front from Snevy Off Road.....it's a China light, but was 20% the cost of a name brand LED bar. Its going to take some fab to get it mounted right due to the odd mounting tabs on the bumper hoop.
