I researched the hell out of flat racks and had settled on the gamiviti when my ARB came up for super cheap. Having the sides is great when you need to use the rack, but sucks the rest of the time. Thinking about cutting them off.

I spent a lot of money on a rack one time.
Broke a bolt when replacing my front sway bar bushings, so I had to remove the sway bar while I was fixing it.......now, it drives so much better, I think I may leave it off!

I've had a few issues the past month or so with a very week start when it's cold. Tested the battery, and it's always been at 14v. Even took it to Sears...tested it OK.
This morning, after sitting for 3 days, it BARELY cranked. Battery shows 14v.
Has to be the battery though right? Would the starter or anything else be affected by the cold??
This is gonna be a pain in the ass to get handled at Sears. Ugh.
Nahhh. Sears will put it on a charger that also tests. Fairly painless. I'm not convinced it's the battery but you will find out soon. Good luck.
I would be willing to bet that it is your starter requiring more amps than normal to crank. I had this exact issue in a 4 runner. I had 4 wheel parts replace the optima red top and then two weeks later it required a jump to get started even with the new battery. Replaced the starter and all was good. That's the problem. Sears has already tested it clean. My tests show it clean.
It's a $300 platinum battery. But it barely turns the starter when cold...
Don't know if I can convince them that 'weak start' warrants a replacement. We shall see.

Requiring more amps than normal due to cold temps?
