I've found a 2004 FSM and downloaded it bc I couldn't find a 1999 specific one. Does anyone have a 99 specific? thanks

this is virtually a build thread and has some great refurb ideas as well as incredible documentation (pics to reference for about anything)

Thought I'd share... https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series...-build-repair-thread-lc100-xvr-pic-heavy.html

also here is where all your 02 sensors are.....hope this doesn't jinx the club and give us alot of bad ones!

im reading alot about torsion bar tweaks. I want to go with OME eventually but for now will my dampening ability be hurt if I jack up the front end a .5" to an 1"? It's sitting a little low in the front.

I know Nolan helped Greg with this. How does it ride? Martin what are you running for lift?

The torsion bar tweak is easy to do if you have a big enough socket. I did mine at Lenny's house when I installed the OME springs and put in the Bilstein shocks. They are the 863 1.5" medium load springs. I found them used on Ebay. At this point, I don't have any plans to add a rear bumper so the medium works for me.

There are tons of threads about having the correct amount of droop after changing the TB. I can't quote you the correct amount. I still have some room left in mine. Another thing to look out for is if you crank the TB too much, you will end up having squirrly (sp) steering under hard acceleration. I have just a touch of it. You will also have to have an alignment or wear out the tires.

You are welcome to drive mine any time you want to see about the difference. I think mine still rides pretty much like stock...just a touch more firm.

awesome thanks for the info Martin. yeah there are so many threads on torsion bar, OME springs it is overwhelming.

ill dig into it some more, I have lots of time before I do anything as far as ome, bilsteins anyway

Does anyone have any 100 sliders they would like to get rid of?

If not, is anyone thinking about ordering sliders and would like to split shipping? Metal Tech is running a special on the OPOR sliders for $430 unfinished, but I have not seen them in person. I would like more a step slider for the wife, but I think I could make a tube slider work.

Funny. When I took my steps off (for Price), I regretted it. I like the steps.

Make sure you get sliders that can be used as steps, whatever brand you get. Some are no help at all.

Watch MTech, they do deals to TLCA runs all year.

If the 40 goes I'd be game

You are welcome to check out my sliders from MT. The OPOR sliders have some of the same features as the MT ones. Mine can be used as steps I think. Not a true slider step, but a good compromise between the 2.

It looks like I will be getting tires for the 100, but I'm still not sure which ones to get. I am leaning towards the Nitto Terra Grappler due to the aggressive look and good price, but it seems like everyone is in love with BFG ATs. I wasn't that impressed with the wear of the BFG rough trails on my Tundra.

I am looking for a good all around tire with an aggressive look. It also needs to wear well on the road. I am open to really any brands, but I don't want to break the bank. I'm also open for input on size for a 18 in rim and stock suspension. I would like to pull the trigger some time this month and head down to 49 Tire.

im wanting terras myself but I have good tread left plus another set of tires to burn through after that....so it might be a while

drive some different 100s with various tires and see which you like...im sure we have both in the club?

Natalie complained all weekend about climbing into the truck so I think I may can argue for the sliders (errr steps) soon

Andy....light reading....https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series...v-s-budget-i-need-your-input.html#post7451999

I had a set of Nittos on my duramax and loved them. They lasted longer than any other tire I had before. 49tire sold me some new style BFG rugged Terrain last may and I am very impressed with them. Nice on road manners and they look better than the Nitto. You might want to look at those.

BFG's at upper 50psi. Rotate them a lot, don't ballance them unless they start shaking. Welcome to drive mine.

Easy, sell the extra set on craigslist to help pay for the new tires. Watch out or I will tell Natalie about the running boards in my attic.

Thanks for the input guys. I trust your opinions and experience more than other people... at least about cars and food, and maybe beer.
