100 Series CDL Switch Relocation

Did some digging, but didnt see anything... thought I'd check before I pop out the switch panel to see if anyone has successfully swapped Hazard and CDL switches on their Hundy? Do the lines reach?

My knee engaged mine the other day when I got in, went to back-up and... "WTF?" Didnt realize it until I looked down.

Thought this might be a good idea for a preventative measure.

It's happened to me before as well. Moving it higher up makes so much sense.

^ x more times than I care to count. First time it happens can be pucker inducing. If the swap is possible I'm on it too.

Fail

Total fail. Toyota integrated the CDL, Antenna, and Hazard into one circuit board. Buttons are fused into it.... didnt want to test my hand at peeling much further, but chalk it up as a loss.

a JDM or other right hand drive switch assembly would be needed.

What do you mean? The objective was to swap the hazard and the CDL button. Not to swap from driver's side to passenger's side.

I assumed swap right to left as the hazard and cdl buttons are different size.


If your worried about hitting it then remove the cdl button cover and it will be recessed.
