Just curious, what makes it a “JDM” engine?

They made the same engine inthe US and Japan, but the Japanese ones had stronger internals, and can handle a supercharger. The US ones cannot

$150 is not bad, but I found a brand new one at a dealer for $740 complete unit with new sensors and hoses. considering the price of the sensors alone and the fact that this unit typically sales for about $1100 new. I felt like it was a sound choice. Thanks for the quick response.

Long block or short block? Have the accessories? Also, do you happen to have the ECU (I imagine it will need a JDM ECU if sensors are different).

I have most of the components (long block) but not everything, but the US ECU would work fine. It's broken down into parts currently. It's the same engine, just with different internals than the engines built in the US. Sensors are all the same. This came out of a 4.7 4Runner, I believe.
