Its all relative anyway...

Interesting they threw LX470 rims on it. Would've figured they had easier access to Toyota rims. :D

OK, I thought you again were heading toward objectivity (like me :D )?

You can see in that spot that nothing SHOULD articulate much. You've seen plenty of other Cruisers pictured just like that. And....remember....equally equipped 100's now can RTI almost identical to 80's. The debates at this point on articulation are mute because things are so close between the 2 models. :)

almost. close.

I thought articulation was important to you. Weren't you the guy who used to post pics and talk about how much articulation some heeps have.

It's nice though. Good to see other 100s on this trail. :)

I guess since they were owned by Toyota, damage didn't matter. I do find it really hard to believe though they wouldn't equip them properly. Maybe Toy wanted to show the FJ's have an advantage over the 100. (They do....SIZE!)

A couple years ago, we ran across some GM guys testing vehicles on the Rubicon. They were testing the H2 and H3 and comparing them against a Rubicon and a Grand Cherokee. All 4 were bone stock, no skids, no aftermarket anything.

They had 2 support trucks -- a Colorado and a S-10. Both of these were armored up underneath with skids, etc.

After talking to a couple support team mechanics we learned that the test vehicles were going to be shipped to Detroit, evaluated, then crushed.

So...seems like standard industry practices to me. Beat the crap out of them, study, then crush.

Ya, I think I've read this before. That's too bad. I'd a taken the H3 for myself. Sure kicks an H2's ass! :D

Thanks! When is that? You won't beat me up...right?
beat you up? naw...

pour lots of tequila into you...let you wander around the woods for a while...maybe, but no on will be beating anyone up. :D

Not sure exactly when -- not schedule yet. Typically august or early september. We'll keep you posted.

Schotts,

You were not there when we worked to get Amando's 100 through the top of Walker hill. IFS sucks.
There is this deep rut, almost as wide as a truck. You must straddle the rut and most of the time, you are riding on the sidewalls of your tires.
In this situation, IFS looked ugly. It seemed like the birfs were under a lot of strain. Eventually we figured out how to get him through.

Let me put it in a another way. Come over and do the 80con with us. You'll see what I mean.

Regards

Alvaro

You just don't understand Alvaro. The 100 is almost as capable as the 80.

I only hope that John brings a 100 with him -- to prove everyone wrong, of course...
