Has anyone swapped a 100 LC e-locker from a '98 or '99 into an LX470?

I have a '99 LX, so no A-TRAC and have been curious about swapping in a rear axle housing from a e-locked 100.

Not sure if the LX came wired for e-locker (perhaps for rest of world markets)?

So far I have found a few resources about swapping in locked rear axles:

Outdoor Recreation Network - Off-Highway, Jeep, & 4x4 Fun

and the attached schematic...

interested in the same thing. I have seen some elockers on ebay and it looks like it would be less than half the cost of an air locker.

I am looking at this option as well for my 2000. I have read a couple threads of this being done. I know Slee sells a switch and circuit board to allow you to lock the e locker without going through the factory harness. I was just reading one of the threads last week, so I am sure with a little search you can find it here.

Someone recently did this on a LC that didn't originally come with one. Would be the same going in to your LX. I almost think this is better than the way mine has it from the factory. You can wire it up and it's a standalone system, just like an air locker would be. I've got to do a bunch of wiring mods so there's not constraints on when I can use mine. Damn computers...

Wondering the same thing, it seems like the slee switch will be the way to go though. And not too bad at less than $100.

I've done some mods to mine so it's not stock anymore, but from memory it was like this:

Center diff locks automatically in 4lo, rear diff locks only in 4lo. So by default I had to be in 4lo with the center diff locked to use the rear diff lock.

Ideally you'd be able to use the rear locker in high range as well, and regardless of center being locked. Slee switch seems like the magic ticket to me.
