10 Passenger FJ80 (1 Viewer)

Has anyone heard of a 10 passenger FJ80. Im about to go look at a 5 speed 97 with the 1HZ diesel for sale with seating for 10. Claimed to be factory. Front row has no center console and an extra wide passenger side seat. Normal size drivers seat. 2nd row holds three passengers like normal. In the back it has two bench seats that fold off the sides to face each-other. Just wondering if someone can confirm this was a factory option somewhere in the world, and for what years? This one is located in Costa Rica, so it probably could have come from anywhere.

My 80 1994, has the same ambulance doors and also has a 5 speed but the rear seats look like the rear seats of a 40 series to me.

I've seen that specific config before; it appeared to be factory.

Wow thanks guys! Yeah it’s actually the second one like this that popped up on Facebook marketplace here, since the fabric matches I’m pretty sure it’s original. Just thought I would have seen something about it online somewhere. This one has 220k miles on a 1hz. I’ll probably buy it.

How does this add up to 10? 2 front, 3 middle, 2 on driver side troop style seat, and 2 on passenger troop style seat. So basically its 1 more than the jump seat style. Still cool, just sayin

So the front has a seat in the middle. No center console, instead a middle seat with seatbelt. 3 in the front, 3 in the middle, 4 in the back.

Haha, well the only reason I’m ok with it is the front seat is still split. It’s a little odd. Normal drivers seat, extra wide passenger seat that sort of cuts back to allow room for the stick shift. And a normal cruiser is a 7 seater correct? Mine only had two seatbelts in the 3rd row (jump seats). I’ll try to get a photo of this.

I would say it's all but certain factory. If not, someone got the requisite parts from the factory for a configuration offered elsewhere.

Yep, go to any place in Central America and you'll see all sorts of options that we never see here on Land Cruisers. I can never figure out how in a market as large as ours that we get so little choice in what is globally available from Toyota.
