Agreed there are a lot of things that can be done, My point was a simple cut and turn will not work.

Guess I never really thought of a cut and turn as simple :)

It's the rockslider/rollcage bar that is in the way in the front. I put it as close to the body mount as possible. It doesn't stick into the wheelwell anymore than the stock fender did, if it does it is not much. I didn't think it would be a problem until the tire bound up and broke a birfield. In the rear when the tire is stuffed it fills the whole wheelwell and it cut the tire because it does not tuck inside. Not much fender you can trim by the door opening anyway. I would rather keep a smooth rolled edge if the tire does make contact.

i would have just modified the slider instead of moving your suspension mounts down. seems like your suspension is going to do some weird things with your links are operating at steeper angles now.

how much lift are you planning to fit those rocks? how are you doing the links? good luck and post more pics.

lengthened the track bar and put it back in. went for a test twist in the ditch and tires still rub the bars a little bit. i don't really like the way everything turned out. instead of putting more time and effort in this setup i think i will start with the rockwell swap.

I think that's a good idea to build to your goal from scratch. You'd might as well design around 40-42's while you are at it :grinpimp:

You'd be surprised how much it opens them up. And you can end up with an even nicer smooth rolled edge if you do it right. I pretty much have a flat surface from the wheel well all the way out to the edge of the fender. When on the bumpstop I have 3" of clearance until the other side maxes out extension.

Then you can adjust the lengths of your links to center it fore aft.

It actually wasn't that tough of a job, litterally a couple hours each side, just don't start the interior on fire.

side comment: bmtoffroad, what part of houston are you in? i thought from you're screen name that you might be from beaumont. i'd love to come see your project. i live in houston but head to the beaumont area most weekends.

i live in Huffman, just 2 streets north of fm 1960, right by the 4 way intersection of fm 2100. you probably go by me if you go fm 1960 to hwy 90 in Dayton.
