Can't find one anywhere with out a long wait. Would buy, rent, whatever.

Toyota # 09248-64011

Would also be interested in shims.

Thanks,

Sean

Dave at Japan 4x4 (if u can't rent one in north America) can prob get one

Thanks BCR4619-

Tried Dave at Japan 4x4 and he said it would take a couple of months.

Cheers,

S

Oh wow, figuring they are prob made there that's quite a while... Maybe everyone wants one at once lol.

Crazy, there seems to be a run on them. Still looking.

Nice tip Yooper. Thanks. Email sent.

If you get a seal puller like the one below (should be common at any parts store) and cut off one of the hooks, it works great for getting the shims out. Hook under the cam shaft, and pry down on the bucket lifter, use a dental pick or something to pop the shim out. Way cheaper and easier than the SST. I used it on my 1HD-T and I think the 1HZ is the same...

That is genius, I have been thinking something like this would work but haven't been around truck to try sense I discovered valves were out.
Thanks!

Where are you located? Anywhere close to bay area, ca?

Truck is Connecticut. You have one?

I haven't tried the Snap On tool but I read somewhere it doesn't work (at least easily) on the 1 HZ.

Anyone tried it on a 1 HZ? Sure would be great if it did as they are easy to come by.

Cheers,

Sean

Ya I tried the Snap-On one first, but it isn't thick enough to push down on the bucket... I guess the cam is farther up on the 1HD-T than other trucks.

I have 5 of them in stock at my supplier. $165 shipped. PM if interested. Can get it as early as mid-end of next week+ few days USPS shipping. If you have shim kit p/n let me know and i can get priced for you as well.
