I saw this on ebay. He reckons he has sold lots of them to diesel cruiser owners.

I think the 1GZ is about 3 litRes so maybe its too small for a cruiser 6 cyl diesel.

Might be usefull for a B or L series diesel.

Toyota probably sells more supercharged cars than any other company so its fair to say their blowers would be good quality.

There is lots of these piling up in wreckers and "supercharged diesel' has a nice ring to it:D

I owuld rather have a turbo, I don't like belts, although it does have a nice sound to it

1GZ is a V12, I think we are looking at a 1G-GZE (2.0 I6) supercharger. http://www.toymods.org.au/Darren/build_notes.htm

This sounds like a good idea nonetheless. I'm thinking turbo-intercooled-supercharged 1KD-FT :D

I thought the V12 had a much longer engine designation .

Its probably off a JDM toyota crown anyway.

Turbo and supercharged 1KDFT:D.
Make sure we see the pics HERE before any one else:D

Eric one of the benefits of running belts and wheels is that you can swap gears like a t/case to alter the rpm of the supercharger in relation to the rpm of the drive engine.
I understand you can have some control over this in a turbo with various sized rotors ect but with a supercharger it is mechanically connected and much more direct.

Some superchargers turn twice as fast as the motor, while for long haul vehicles they can turn at a much more leisurely pace.

Many engineers believe the last of the available HP left in internal combustion engines will come from mechanically driven blowers.

I've coined the term 'Turblown' for such a design... although my design for my 1HZ is turbo->SC ->air-water intercooler->water/methanol injection.

? for you Peter....have you opened up the ports in your pre-cups in this 1hz project ? Did you open them up in the 3b ? You had talked about it one time on the DTLC .

Thanks , Daryl
