not new to the forum,.... lurker, first time posting. usually i can get all the answers i need by searching but i didn't really find any answers on any TC issues after installing a body lift. I'm not able to switch into 4 LO anymore. I'm guessing when raising the body it changes the clearance that the shifter has to move. i was able to get it into 4 LO once but it was very hard and it kicked it out after a about moving 20-30ft. i searched to see if the TC shifter is adjustable but i didn't find anything... any help would be appreciated. thanks!

It's a simple adjustment in a difficult area to access. The body lift does make access easier. Get under the truck and look for the connecting rod on the passenger side running from the t-case to the shifter. There is also the transmission shifter rod near there that i had to adjust after body lift.

Remove the center console and see of it works. Something is touching, 1 inch isn't enought to cause problems but if your rubber boot is touching, thats a problem. Otherwise, you can adjust your linkage.

Remove the center console, then there are 4 bolts holding down a plate over the t-case shifter. Once you have that off, you can look right down at the linkage and make sure nothing is touching or blocking it. It's a little harder to see from underneath and if you're working alone, it allows you to move the shift lever into N or 4LO and look for an obstruction at the same time.

Good advice from all. Kudos for taking on the body lift project! IMHO, when running 35" tires, its the single best mod for a 100-Series when more technical terrain is/will be on the menu ;). It allows a lower relative suspension height preserving our oh-so-tender CV joint angles (as well as caster and camber)! As well as slightly better approach and departure angles (assuming bumper height is adjustable and/or customized for the BL).

If I had to do it over again I'd probably do what Jon aka wildsmith did and go with ~1.5". But never regretted doing my 1" BL as it has paid dividends in CV durability and longevity.

I'm not there yet in my build, but isn't there room to cut back the firewall instead of body lift? The cutting is what I have always finger in the past with my 4Runner and Broncos...
