Hi mudders
Newbie here thanking all those whose posts have helped with flushing AHC, calming the clunk in the driveline, and future problems that may arise.I picked up my LC before Christmas during a snowstorm my first opinion was does he really want to sell it! The LC was so dirty wood shavings and chain saw in the back and not ready for sale at least I wasn't buying it in that condition so I told him to clean it up and I would Think about it. I was also looking at Lx470 around 2000 vintage. I Waited 2 weeks to contact the LC owner again, he had dropped the price a couple thousand but it was still to much, this LC had been a victim of Oregon Pinstriping, scratches down both sides but not through the clearcoat. These scratches were to be my bargaining chip, did I get great deal, yes.He came down a lot from the original asking price and we struck a bargain.I am now the proud owner of an o6 Thundercloud grey LC with pinstriping. I look forward to future tech help and hopefully I can add my 2 cents.'

2006 is a great year! I really like the upgraded wheels, headlights, side steps and rear tail lights on the newer model years.

Typically pin-striping can be buffed out to a cretin extent. I have been detailing cars in my personal life for years (mostly my own and family members) i recommend picking up an orbital buffer from griots garage then buy some level 2 or 3 cutting agent and a swirl mark remover and my guess is you can make it look pretty darn good as long as the scrapes are not through the clear coat!

congrats on the purchase!
