This may be a long shot, but hoping someone can give some input. We followed aedgington's instructions for the DVD hack on our new to us 06 LC. We temporarily grounded the parking brake wire to do a test drive and the DVD's played fine while driving. Went back and set the ground and reinstalled, and now the DVD plays audio but the "Picture" screen is grayed out. We reconnected both the parking brake and violet wires back to the way they were and same result. We rechecked all connections, tried it with and without parking brake on and multiple DVDs. Any one have any ideas? There is no Rear DVD system installed.
