Took the sequoia on its 1st road trip this last weekend. Under load and around 2000 rpm's it bucks or surges. Rpm slightly increase with it. Transmission is not slipping. I have been reading on other forums that it could be anything from bad catalytic converter, sensors or plugs. No idea what spark plugs are in it. I have only owned the vehicle for a month. 185k on the clock. Any suggestions?

I would try cleaning the air flow sensor. Could be the torque converter going in and out of full lock up. Next time it does it try turning the overdrive off and see if it stops. When I used to be a BMW tech some of the V8 sedans and SUV's had this problem and it was the torque converter. Most of them were fixed by doing a fluid service and making sure the transmission software was up to date.
