That is the tall style early 2F (pre 1981), so if any valve cover will fit and F engine, this is the one.

Yes I have one on a F engine works fine just need the cap nuts and seals.

What's the advantage to running this on the F engine? Should I just slap it on mine?

I have an F1.5 in my 11/1974 and despite all the tricks I couldnt get my stamped steel cover to not leak. Put a 2F cover on it and it's dry as a bone.
