My sister is coming over tomorrow night for me to put some new pads in the back of her rav4. Last week she was over complaining about a squeak when she used the brakes, and sure enough the wear indicators were touching the rotors. So I simply cut them off and told her to get some pads and come back soon. I didn't take the pads out of the calipers though, and from the brief look I honestly can't tell how they would. They have pins holding the pads like the typical 4 piston toyota caliper (although these are tiny little 2 piston calipers) but there doesn't appear to be a locking wire holding the pins in like I'm used to seeing. There is a rather elaborate anti-rattle clip, but could that actually hold the pins in?
