This will sound bizzar...
Took vehicle in for windshield replacement. When it went in it had a grey a two toned dash and door panels, dark grey and grey, and a grey steering wheel center. When I got the vehicle back, the steering wheel center was black, the darker part of dash was back and the darker trim on doors were black. The shop denies anything. The local police state that since it was taken to a shop, it's a civil matter not a crime. However, they did hint that my airbags might be missing. WTF??? I know these parts have been changed. How can I confirm this?

Request a copy of the shop security video legally?

A query of your VIN at the nearest Toyota dealership should reveal a lot about your car. Heck, even your exterior paint code is on the door vin sticker. If black on gray wasnt an option, then this should be easy enough to prove in court. Generally if you hire a good attorney you should be able to settle out of court. There's a reason we're such a litigious society- if people wont do the right thing you have a legal recourse.
