Just purchased a 1970 fj40 with 3 on the tree, the drive train was removed bad engine. I have all the old parts.I also purchased a restored 1973 frame with a 4 speed and front disk brakes. I Am thinking the quickest way back on the road would be to put the 1970 body on to 1973 frame. I most...

Hi everyone - really enjoy the comments and feedback from all you out there. Interested in purchasing a 2020 LX570 and took the following pictures of the frame. Does anyone have thoughts on the degree of rust present? Is this a hell no? Thanks so much in advance. Due diligence...
Hi all. I'm needing a seat base for an early driver seat for a patina restoration. Upon further review, the one I have has been welded, and poorly. I'd rather have an in tact unit. Please contact me if you have one you wish to part with in good useable condition. Picture for reference. Thanks
In case you were holding your breath, it has been dismissed.

I have a frame that is a clean, rot free and not bent. It's ready to be sand or soda blasted and painted. I do have a signed title and as far as i know is clean. How much as is?
I do know someone that has a sandblaster and can do it myself for cheap. How much more can I get for it, if it was...

any input appreciated. 05 LX
thanks

Anybody have tips on how to install the fiberglass lid with a new windshield to top seal? The fiberglass top is sitting pretty high on the front end creating quite a gap (large enough to where the big u-shaped seal won’t cover). Just slowlygradually bolt the top down from back to front?
I am looking at a 2009 Land Cruiser and it looks like rust may have gotten a hold of the frame, but I'm not versed enough to know for sure. Anyone let me know from the pics of any real issues to the undercarriage besides just surface rust?
I don't have a plan. It's just shoot from the hip. Make it up as it goes along. But I will post from time to time the progress. I'm definitely doing a LS. But will concentrate on the restoration part more. Gonna take her down to frame, acid dip all metals, ets. Should be fun.
I’m doing a frame up restoration on my first 40, and no surprise, it’s got some rust spots on the driver’s side floor pan. I’m torn between either replacing the floor pan or patching the holes.
At what point do you just replace an area with a new panel vs patching? Here’s photos from above...
