LX570 questions - rust on frame - thoughts? (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone - really enjoy the comments and feedback from all you out there. Interested in purchasing a 2020 LX570 and took the following pictures of the frame. Does anyone have thoughts on the degree of rust present? Is this a hell no? Thanks so much in advance. Due diligence...

What rust? That’s mostly dirt and grime on the frame.

In all seriousness, there’s some rust starting on the frame welds which is common on these, but it is no reason to be concerned. That undercarriage is clean.

I'm not in the market, but if I were I'd have zero issues with the amount of rust you see on the welds.

Most Toyotas have more rust on them by the time they get to the dealership.

Agreed. Thats really a zero rust vehicle.

My 200 has similar "rust" on the welds but its nothing compared to a really crust frame. As others have said this is a nothing burger.

I would usually tell people to run from rusty trucks. But that one looks fine, don't see any rust in those photos.

A good cleaning underneath would probably reveal like 36" of welds with surface rust. I'd bet 30 minutes with a wire brush and some good rust converting paint would take care of it.

I’m as picky as it gets with rust and on this one, firmly in the “what rust?” camp.
