the truck is in great shape.. serviced at Pro Active since i have owned it (3plus years)... if you folllow any of my posts it had a new engine installed this summer, and its been great since blowing up the orig on the coaq!
Literally the only reason to sell is that we have a 03 deisel golf...
So im thinking about maybe listing my truck for sale.. but really have absolutely no clue what to list it for... so please chime in
1997 FZJ80 with a super charger, truck tuned great, all pm up to date, 165,000 miles, 3" OME lift, ARB bumper, 8000lb winch, center diff lock, sliders, 33" BFG AT...
yeah guys that motor from G&S is solid..and reporting about 2-3 MPG better then the old. I got scared today and just dropped the truck off at Proactive...see what they think. Also decided to put a block heater in at the same time.
So after my new engine install i have yet to determine where the temps should be on my FTW and FIA
So this morning heading to work im running 220 FTW and 87 FIA...
I think im low on coolant...and will have to hit the dealership tomorrow to pick some more up..
Curious what knorrea has to...
whats the best pre-mixed coolant brand to buy?
Ive noticed that my truck is taking extra long to warm up in the cool canadian mornings. also, coolant low..needs topping up.
Does anyone else notice that on warm days the PS floor pan area gets very hot, even the carpet is warm to the touch?
Does this have anything to do with exhaust manifold?? time to replace exhaust piping? maybe upsize to 2.5 or 3" to match the SC?
Curious if anyone else has noticed this... as...
Just had a new engine installed on my rig... and im noticing that it seems to have a little bit of an oil leak on the ground from the side of the truck with the SC.
The oil is clean.... is this something that tends to go away after the truck is driven a bit following the new engine install...
Drove the truck back to calgary this weekend. She drove pretty good.. temp got up there a little bit...but the heat fan seemed to check nicely.
Sheldon, thanks for the engine.. its allready getting better fuel economy then the old one. Marlin/Semlin - enjoy the old engine.
