Intermittent and Windshield Wiper Speeds not working

1993 PZJ75 has a problem with the windshield wiper motor speeds. Several weeks ago during heavy rain in Lucena the intermittent and slow speed were working, but now only the fast speed works. I have the FSM for my PZJ and looked thru the electrical wiring schematics which indicates there is a...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Arrived in the Philippines recently after being gone for 10 months. Replaced the driving/brake tail light bulbs with LEDs that I purchased on the Forum over a year ago. Drained the oil pan and removed the oil filter; filled with 9L 15W/40 and installed a factory oil filter. Drove the '93 PZJ75...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Since returning to the Philippines and while driving my LC truck; I have heard an occasional thump sound when going over bumps. Checked the suspension recently after getting the leaks in the fuel tank repaired. Didn't see any problems, but the noise persisted. Today while checking the oil level...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

The price of diesel fuel was scheduled to go up again so I decided to add another 39L to the tank before the price increase. I drove around that day doing errands and then parked the LC in the garage. The next morning when I open the garage door I smelled diesel fuel and found a small puddle...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Due to the pandemic I was not allowed to return to my home in the Philippines until several days ago. Upon my return I had to do a thorough inspection of the truck. Many thanks to a family member who periodically drove the truck to keep parts and seals lubricated. Difficult to believe it's been...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Cannot do any work on my LC. Due to Covid19 and the spread of the Corona Virus living in my house over in the PI has been cancelled indefinitely. Travel over seas has been banned and there is a city by city LOCK DOWN and if you are in Manila; you cannot leave Manila. Which means.... I will not...

Indoor & Outdoor Temp Gauge Display

I have the dual temperature / elevation display pod on my '93 PZJ75; the elevation works, but the temperature sensors start out reading E and then slowly progress to -21. I disassembled and checked the solders and electrical connections; it appears both of my sensors are missing and cannot...

What did you do on your 70 series today?

Well this is not what I did on my 70 series, but what I purchased for my PZJ75 for when I go back to the PI in 2 months. Yesterday I purchased (2) knuckle rebuild kits; thanks to Cruiser Outfitters. I already purchased brakes pads/shoes, several relays, an alternator, and a variety of other...

Starter clicks but doesn't turn when hot - how do I find the root cause?

During my last visit to the PI the battery terminals and clamps needed the connection surfaces cleaned. In the PI electrical connections develop oxidation and corrosion quickly due to the heat and salt air. Prior to reconnecting the clamps I installed a set of battery terminal corrosion...

Starter clicks but doesn't turn when hot - how do I find the root cause?

When you install the new clamps and clean the ground connections; apply some oxidizing inhibitor to those connections to decrease the chances of this reoccurring in the future.

Starter clicks but doesn't turn when hot - how do I find the root cause?

The voltage at the battery terminal should be within a couple tenths of what the alternator stud is. With those numbers.... there is a serious voltage drop that could either be caused by a heavy drain on the system or some really dirty electrical connections.... You can troubleshoot to see if...

Starter clicks but doesn't turn when hot - how do I find the root cause?

What is the voltage at the battery and the alternator charging stud with the engine running ? With the engine running the alternator should be putting out 13.5V at a minimum; preferably >14V. When the engine is off and cooled down for a couple hours; the battery voltage should be >12.3V. The...

Steering jams sometimes to left sometimes to right

I am sure one of the forum members has access to the manual or can direct you to a PDF of the manual you need. When I purchased my 93 PZJ75 the only service manuals I had were the PDFs until I located and purchased the original paper manuals.
