That was just an example I know a few other manufacture them.
It was just an option. I have a stock lever and a parking brake on the rear of my Orion and it doesn't hold very well. I also have explorer disc brakes with the internal parking brake on my rear ProRock 60 I haven't hooked up yet. I...
They make a kit like you describe. I've thought about adding one but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I ground the bolt down a little and it clears. But is that enough, Just enough to clear, or should it have a minimum clearance? I can’t see inside well enough to be able to see or measure how much clearance it has.
I spoke with AA today and the guy I spoke to didn't know the answer so he transferred me to someone that might know but didn't answer. I left a meaasage and we'll see if he calls back. I'll hit up Georg next.
The bolt that is modified to clear the idler gear, does anyone know the diameter of it? I’m assembling an Orion to Marlin Toybox and it doesn’t use the metric bolts that comes with the Orion. I also don’t have the bolts supplied with the Orion. I ground the bolt down but I’m not sure how much...
I learned that the hard way when I was in high school. I wired in an Alternator in my Baja bug and didn't feel I needed to add in the idiot light like the diagram showed. When the bug wouldn't shut off with the key It took me a bit to figure out the light was an important part of the system and...
That is the same gear that is broken on mine, it's not broken as bad as yours. The gear on the countershaft that rides against that gear has some chipped teeth.
If that’s all you want the VHX will be fine. The HDX just gives you many more options. I just got the HDX but haven’t installed it yet. I got the GPS module, fuel pressure module, outdoor temp module and THE OBDII module. The factory sending units, other than the fuel sender, will not be used...
While I'm sure that is a great engine, its tough to beat the drivability, reliability and part availability of late model factory engines using factor injection computer and accessories. You will be surprised how much that Edelbrock will cost you when all said and done having to source the rest...
I would personally get a factory engine and put it in. Not that I have anything against the Edelbrock stuff. Is the engine you are looking at an early style 350?
Thanks for the write up. I was just looking at the DD site the other day and noticed the new version. I really want to put one of these units in. As soon as the kids are done with college I think I might have to get one.
You probably could do that. IIRC mine was just shy of 2" longer than the stock shaft. Back when I did mine there wasn't a lot of options like there is now. I had Mark Williams build a custom inner shaft out of 300M, it is a beautiful piece. Cost around $300.
