So a co-worker took apart his MAF on his 62 and now needs to have it repaired.
Is it best to have the OEM unit repaired and by who or have it replaced with a new unit, OEM or descent aftermarket unit?
EDIT: better yet, how often do these go out? Should he just buy a used unit?
What’s up fellas!
I’m wondering what your thoughts are on the best period correct seats are for a 60.
Someone might say the originals are and I would agree however I’m looking for comfort and the originals have something left to be desired.
I’m looking for more comfort and for them to be...
Hmmm, I tried only first and reverse but looking back now that's when it had possibly the most tourqe to move. Oh well, now I have a tool that has come in handy from time to time including the removal of the cam sprockets on my Subaru.
I recall the truck moving in gear with the E-brake on still when assembling mine. I bought a large chain wrench for the R&R of a worn out crank pulley. It will hold the pulley in place and you'll be able to tourqe it with ease.
That temp sensor is a pain in he butt to get to. Depending if you have a bit of lead still on it you might be able to do it form the top but it's best if you run a new insulated wire and connector.
If you under stand the basics of DC you can wire this up quite easily. Just a few simple rules to follow. I recommend taking a quick class on electricity, it will go a long way if you plan to do most of the work your self in the future.
Comparing them to other hi-power halogens or a retro fitted HID, I agree. If we're looking at trucklites I'd have to say they are nicer. I've only used the original trucklites and the newer ones may be considerably better? I know that the main beams on JWs have fans to keep temps down so that's...
I've heard of the flicker issue in newer vehicles but I haven't had any issues with mine. I always thought it has something to do with running them on newer vehicles that normally have DRLs. They're about as plug and play as can be. They're even on the OEM wiring. I bought there DOT fog lamps to...
If you're trying to keep cost down you might want to consider a decent housing with an led bulb instead of a halogen. I think the better halogens are as bright or brighter than a single LED fitted however the dedicated LED from speaker are great.
I was next to a new Range Rover on the highway...
I think for the money the speakers are better off. I had the older multi-led trucklites and the speakers blow them out of the water. It might also depend what look you're going for but I preferred function over looks.
Not necessarily. I know my rear tires need to be replaced/balanced on my 89 Mazda 323 so I get a vibration around 70MPH. Gets slightly worst up until 85 it begins to go away.
It very well just may need wheel and tire balancing due to a lost weight
