I need to tow my 62 about 80 miles. Is the stock bumper strong enough to drill and attach the towbar attachment "eyes"? I was considering using some thick fender washers as additional load-spread backing. Has anyone mounted these to a stock bumper?

I searched the forum and found several different orders suggested. My FSM refers me to the "LC (Heavy-Duty) Repair Manual for Chassis and Body", which I don't have. Does anyone have that manual, and does it show a factory recommended order to bleed the brake system (with LSPV).
