My G52 and W56 TO bearing and fork are different. from the answers above it looks like they are interchangeable, I hope so bc i just replaced in my G52
It is definately a different part and they both connect to the fork differently. the older style is a sleeve where you can just replace the bearing, the new style is a one piece deal.
I have a G52 transmission with new clutch and throw out bearing in my truck. I'm swapping it for a W56, can I use the old style throw out bearing from the G52 or do I need to get the newer style? Thanks
yes, there is a slight difference in the axle length, I have no idea why. the 4runner would be a link/coil setup maybe it has something to do with that. I've never measured a housing to see if it is longer
Yes, very well could be legend. I had the longer axles so i'm not taking the chance. I don't have anyone to campare to bc nobody around me uses elocker other than me and i was always told they were weak. When i started building my rig i collected a bunch of elockers expecting to break them...
This is not my picture, I have not personally had this failure. This failure was when using an ifs truck shaft. You can see the shaft didn’t fully engage the splines. The picture above is mine. The slightly longer shaft will seat all the way in the carrier. I took measurements with both length...
The splines will fit but I think the shafts are about 1/4” too short for full engagement on the locker side. You need a shaft from a 2nd gen 4Runner for full engagement. It will work and if you don’t abuse it you’ll be fine. I just went through this setting up a TG housing on my crawler but the...
Stock radiator and its good, Fan clutch is free, I checked the stat on the stove and it opened around 190. My mechanical gauge and IR are reading about the same so i'm sure they are both accurate. I haven't driven it much because i was trying to get to operating temp to time it. I'm starting...
I rebuilt a 22re and started it up today. After working out all the bugs it runs great but I can’t get it to run warmer than 130 -150. I’ve tried 3 thermostats and no luck. One a new aisin and one out of the 22r I was running that ran at 210. I had a mechanical gauge mounted in the dummy gauge...
Does the stock sending unit do anything other then give a reading to the guage? My manifold, an 87, doesn't have the allen plug below it. I removed the stock unit and that is where i mounted the mechanical sending unit. I just rebuilt the motor and haven't started it yet
I was thinking about removing the fusible link, use 4awg wire form the battery to a fuse then 4awg from the fuse to the plate in the fuse box where the fusible link was. drill a hole in the plate to bolt the 4awg terminal to the plate? use a fuse the same size as what is in the fuse box?
and...
