I think I've seen the M3 bag, but would you post a pic of it? Can't have too many!
In an emergency, intuition will tell me exactly what to use and how to use it! Nah, I'll probably open a couple of them up to see exactly what's in 'em. Mostly gauze/bandages, but yhou can't have enough of...
Picked up this first aid kit at a gun show. I have no idea what the contents are, but the labels read...
OBVAZ POHOTOVOSTNI NA POPALENINY, OBINADLO HYDROFILNI, OBVAZ KAPESNI, BALICEK OBVAZOVY MALY, GAZA HYDROFILNI SKLADANA, and TROJCIPY SATEK.
GAZA is the only word I'm taking a stab at...
I bought the Arcan XL35 (3.5 ton) at Costco a couple of years ago, and it has served me well. It is definitely not Aluminum. Gotta be 100 lbs. It is less than 4" and lifts 20 or 21 inches. Recommended (except for the weight).
Sounds like a bad idea. :frown: I hate to shoot down your idea, but towing and winching are dangerous enough without shortcuts. Maybe you could find a rated shackle mounted on a pintle hook paterned plate.
edit: Maybe you could put a ring on your tow strap???
I'm all for overkill, but I'll probably save my $ for an Engel. I might could go for one of the smaller ones to use as a freezer w/ dry ice though. So no one's banged one around yet?
Saw these coolers at Sportsman's warehouse... looked pretty durable, but the price kinda stings. Anyone have one? Took some bad camera phone pic's...
One of the midsize ones...
Next size up...
I've seen one called a 'warthog' demo'd at gun shows. Looks pretty good. It has spring loaded V style rods they retract with each pass. Rod angles are adjustable. Kinda spendy iirc.

I've heard the motorized grinder wheel style can overheat blades causing...
Yes, true about the hood release cable burning quickly. I've had two engine fires: one the cable burned, one it did not. I probably popped it quicker the second time. The first time, I emptied two good size dry chem extinguishers into the grill and it did very little if any good. Someone got...
Just a heads up... I'm looking at doing a 2.5lb HALON group discount deal if anyone still has the extinguisher bug. Check the top of the outfitting forum.
Good luck to those having trouble with Apache. I just got burned buying some HID headlight bulbs on Ebay for the wife's Max.:mad...
I've been looking around a while for an extinguisher for the LC and this is what I came up with. Yes, I said Halon, not Halotron. Halotron is an earth-friendly alternative to Halon, but does not perform as well. The manufacture of Halon was halted in 1994 due to its ozone depleting effects...
Don't count me in, but...
Halotron's the way to go... good choice. CO2 doesn't have any range (especially if it's windy) and ABC's cause almost as much damage as fire (paint/electrical corrosion).
Things to consider would be refill potential and perhaps upping the ante to the 5lb'er.
If he's local, maybe you could hook up a high cfm tool (impact driver?) and see if there is any audilble drop in performance. That would probably only indicate its not a complete lemon. It prob'ly only takes <10cfm and <100psi to run an impact driver. Disclaimer: If you have much experience...
I bought a 12v charger for my Dell for about $60 or so. I bought it from one of those refurb. computer stores. The brand is "Lund" and quality is top notch. Comes with auto adapter as well as some sort of airplane seat power adapter.
Found some here...
The Xpower 400... I have that one. It's only like 200 CCA's, but I used it to jump start a guys truck on a snowy day earlier this year. I haven't used it enough to vouch for it yet. Doesn't seem too cheap, but I won't trust the compressor after reading Amazon reviews..
How much volume would I need @ 150psi to run a finishing/trim nailer? I don't mind if it takes a minute between shots, but would .5gal or 1gal. be enough to fire a nail?
Great diagram Beo... thanks. The Bosch specs on the partsexpress site had good info too.
I'm planning on setting the system up with one of the $40 Superflows, then upgrading to something like a Viair 450.
The fun project I'm planning will be building a "portable" portable compressor...
Ok, other than zapping myself a couple of times, I don't have a lot of electrical experience. So here's the deal; I'm planning on installing a compressor, tank, pressure switch, and on/off switch. Seemed simple enough, but I keep reading about relays. What does a relay do? Can the pressure...
