    Chain Saws

Thanks, Guys- I am running Stihl chains. They are marked "6" and "3/8". So it looks like the bar and saw are matched. I had both the chains sharpened professionally, so I HOPE both sets of cutters are sharp. I'll try the new bar (Maybe a new matching chain). Thanks Rocky

    Chain Saws

No sense in starting another thread. I have an MS360 (purchased in '03) that cuts funny (off to one side) on large logs. I went in to get a new bar (it came with two chains) and the dealer was all "corn-fused" about the fact that the bar was stamped .063 (vs. the "normal" .050). They...

Recommendations on Self-Installed Home Alarm Systems?

I found this site, but we are both in the same boat. I don't know what a lot of this stuff means, and I haven't had any time to study up on it. Hardwired Alarm Systems, Wired Security Systems | Home Security Store

Recommendations on Self-Installed Home Alarm Systems?

My house already is wired with sensors on doors, and motion sensors. My alarm controller is acting funny. Rather than taking it back to the local vendor and getting the hi-pressure sales pitch, or paying too much for checkout and parts since they are the only vendor (like my Eco-Water...

    Chainsaw Won't Accelerate (Zama Carb)

Thanks for all the good advice, dohcdelsol93 & splitshott. Actually I have 2 nearly identical saws, one a Poulan, one a Craftsman. My 1st plan is to swap carbs. If the craftsman runs with the carb from the problem saw (Poulan), that will tell me that the issue is in the tubing or the...

    Chainsaw Won't Accelerate (Zama Carb)

I have a Poulan Pro 220LE (I know - get a Stihl*) that doesn't accelerate. When I hit the gas it will initially start to spin up, then immediately bog down. It seems to me that it is not getting enough fuel to run at high speed. It has a Zama W020 carb, and I've got a carb rebuild kit, but I...

Question on MS360 Pro - Didn't Start (Craigslist Saw)

I think it was flooded. Ad you know - There is a full choke and a 1/2 choke setting (Cold Start / Warms Start). One pull in the full, then a pull in the 1/2 and it started right up. I bought it for $300 - so now I don't want to look at the piston for scoring! Thanks for the info...

Question on MS360 Pro - Didn't Start (Craigslist Saw)

Question on Stihl MS360 Pro Chainsaw - Didn't Start (Craigslist Saw) I found a MS360 on Craigslist, 20" bar. The guy wants $350 for it, it has the case, wrench, extra chain. Supposedly the guy bought in 2004 or 2005, used it for ~2 years, then it has sat. A Stihl 362 (current model...

Tire Deflator - Link To Chat

Not as well recieved as I expected in Chat - but it works good, and is cheap. If you are looking for a set of 4 tire deflators - give this idea a try. Again - credit to my buddy, Andy B. https://forum.ih8mud.com/chit-chat-section/238575-cheapest-tire-deflator-market-%246-00-4-a.html If...

    mechanic tool set for husband

I think Sears (and K-Mart) have basic Craftsman tool sets. A Metric 3/8" Drive Ratchet Set with a 4" and 8" extension is a requirement. A Metric Open End Wrench Set (6mm - 17 mm) is a requriement. A Screwdriver Set (Phillips and Flat Blades) are a requirement. Other special tools...

    Floor jack

My harbor freight one is a POS. No control on lowering it, and it leaks (and slowly lowers). Anybody know if there is a rebuild kit for 'em, or can you just match O-rings at Ace H/W? Thanks
